Moon River and me and them
It was a cold and inhospitable night. The tides and spirit were not aligned for me to go out and meet friends so I opted to stay in and do some work. Then, at the witching hour, I received a call from someone in Donostia who I have not spoken to in decades. She had just bumped into two old students of mine in a bar in the Old Part. They were now married. They told her that they had fallen in love while I was singing ‘Moon River’ in one of the music sessions at the Auld Dubliner pub over twenty years ago. The cold night seemed to have found a new star.
We’re after the same rainbow’s end.
