The Unbewildered One

Many of us don’t feel connected to the world the way other people do. It is as of we are born bewildered. Jesus wasn’t connected to the world either. Bur he understood it. Perhaps ‘Messiah’ can mean ‘The Unbewildered One’.

I suppose all gurus, messiahs and teachers have that in common. They know the map is not the territory. Where we see mountains of gold they see impediments on the path. Where we crave social approbation, they see a weakness for distraction.

And those of us who, sometimes at least,  see through the machinations and  mirages of modern life need the sages to say ‘Now this. Now this,’ and to point us towards the next steps of the journey. Unbewitched. Unbothered. Unbewildered.
